Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; we do not retain or log the search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact message as needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically record technical details such as:
- Page-view timestamps
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device that help measure patterns such as popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers aggregate this traffic information. You may block cookies in your browser, although doing so can affect how parts of the site function.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing technical problems
- Operating the site and improving load performance
- Routing a search to the appropriate partner
- Understanding which pages are useful or need improvement
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Stephens County dockets or personal case data. The site explains how to reach the District Clerk, County Clerk, lower courts, county docket PDFs, and re:SearchTX. Court case records are maintained under judicial access rules and are distinct from administrative government records requested under the Texas Public Information Act. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party record or consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Anything you enter into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own data-retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Review the partner's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. But nothing connected to the internet is bulletproof. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has shared data with us, reach out and we'll delete it right away.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide additional rights concerning your personal data. The Texas Public Information Act concerns access to government information; it does not convert court case files into data held by this private site. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may change this privacy policy down the road. When we do, the updated version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep tabs on how we handle your information.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
